Dear Allen,

We would like to thank you and your very capable and thoughtful staff for the way you treated my brother Harry. He would always tell me of the fine treatment he received from them during his stay at Bristal.

Please extend our heartfelt thanks to Judy, Michelle, David and Daniel for their help after Harry’s passing.

Also to your capable staff of men and women who took care of Harry. I know he gave them “kudos” on his broadcast every morning. They are the best.

We sincerely appreciate all you did for him and the way you helped us at this difficult time.

Sincere Thanks,

Moss & Carole Schindler

Dear Maryellen,

I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how wonderful the staff at The Bristal at Massapequa were before, during and after Hurricane Sandy. During this crisis, it was comforting to see that all Directors were available for our safety and security. Astrit, our Maintenance Director did an incredible job running power from the generator to where it was needed most. The kitchen and dining room staff were able to serve hot, satisfying meals as if they were fully functioning. Maria, in activities, kept us entertained and distracted us from the devastating effects Hurricane Sandy brought to the rest of the area.

The Wellness staff was around and available 24/7 and made us feel comfortable and secure. They tirelessly made rounds day and night. The housekeepers did not miss a beat and were very attentive to each of us here.

Although there were many staff members personally affected by the aftermath of this storm, the day-to-day operations continued as flawlessly as possible. Everyone pitched in to make sure that we as residents were warm, comfortable, happy and most importantly, safe.

Thanks you!

Sincerely,

Terry DeSimone

Dear Alan

On behalf of the residents and myself at the Bristal, we wish to thank you, David, all the Directors and the staff for the care you gave us last week before Hurricane Sandy, during the hurricane and after Sandy. During those days all of you went above and beyond your call of duty to make us comfortable and to cope with what we had to go through. We deeply appreciate what each of you did for us.

Again, Thank You.

Sincerely,

Mary Borowiec President Council

Appreciation After Hurricane Sandy

Dear Suzann:

After so many months of heartache and difficult decisions to make, we cannot tell you how much we appreciate you and the staff at The Bristal at East Meadow.

Having to make the decision to place Michele in a secure unit was a very hard one for our family to make, even though we knew that it was necessary for her safety. The Bristal has been a life saver for us. Everyone has gone out of their way to make Michele happy, comfortable, and safe. We can't thank you enough.

The facility is beautiful, clean and provides a feeling of homey comfort. The staff is always pleasant and has helped Michele adjust to her new living quarters. Michele's room is always clean and well maintained. There are always so many great choices at mealtime. It could not be more perfect.

We appreciate all the time you have given us when we stop in or call. You and your staff have always made us feel welcome and that is a nice feeling. Michele has a lot of issues and we can tell you are all helping her get through this difficult time with your extra care and patience. We are extremely pleased with Michele being part of your community.

Thank you for everything.

Sincerely,

Donna & Bruce Datre

Dear Linda:

Now that my mother is finally settled, I wanted to send you a letter of appreciation for all the care and assistance that you and the staff at The Bristal provided to my mother and, of course, to me as well.

As an elder law attorney, I was well aware of The Bristal's excellent reputation and I felt it was the best choice for my mother. Nevertheless, as you know, both she and I had so many fears and concerns.

Her stay at The Bristal turned out so much better than I even anticipated. The staff was always warm and supportive and quickly responsive to any of our questions or needs. Both you and Winsome's warmth and caring were apparent and it is clear that Winsome expects the best from her staff.

From the moment you enter The Bristal, you are greeted by Pam's smiling face, her recognizing everyone and knowing them by name. This alone always gave me such a good feeling.

Special thanks to Anastasia and Victoria. I'm sure that they know how much my mother loved their attention, joking and care.

Luz was so efficient in her filing of the claims for my mother and was always there for both of us.
Finally, Monique was organized and was a great support at the time of her transition.

I am sure that I am leaving out some people and apologize for that. Suffice it to say, both my mother and my experiences with all of the staff were excellent.

Thank you all so much for your assistance, your understanding, your caring, and your warmth. Know that they arc greatly appreciated.

All the best,

Very truly yours,

Penny B. Kassel

To the Staff at the Bristal,

Words cannot express our appreciation in the way in which you took care of our dad during his short stay at the Bristal. During the past few difficult weeks you cared for our dad and gave us the constant reassurance that he was comfortable and was being given extra attention and care. You also always made time for our mom, and us, whether it was a phone call or a stop at the office to answer our questions and make us feel comfortable. All of the staff involved with our dad was warm, loving and caring and we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,

The family of Carl Gimbel

Bristal Family,

I want to thank all the people at the Bristal for the wonderful quality of life you have provided for my parents over the past few years. You are truly Mom’s extended family.

Thank you for your kindness, thoughtfulness and support during this difficult time for Mom and me. I greatly appreciate it.

Dear Alan,

Words cannot express my gratitude to your entire staff. From the moment you walk in the door the staff is always friendly and efficient. They know your name and are always willing to help. My mom, Nancy DeMatteo, spent the last 8 months of her life in the Reflections unit. Under the guidance of Shaniqua Hayes, her entire staff cared for her in a respectful and caring manner. You have an amazing group of people working in the Reflections unit. They truly care for the residents. I have spent many hours watching how they care for people. Often times the residents are difficult, and each time they work as a team to handle a variety of behaviors. In the end, when my mom required Hospice care, each and every aide went out of their way to help my mom and my family. These are special people with special talents.

I would like to share with you the last words my mom said about a week before she passed away. Shaniqua was caring for my mom and my mom whispered, "I love you" to Shaniqua. We were all taken by surprise because she was not talking very much at all. I guess she just wanted her to know how she felt.

As difficult as it is to lose my mom, I know that she was well cared for at the Bristal. I will continue to visit my Dad at the Bristal, as he is comfortable and feels at home. Please express my gratitude to your entire staff and especially the Reflections staff.

Fondly,

Nancy Coyle

The Bristal Staff,

With the recent passing of my brother, Paul Mirabella Junior, and my father, Paul Mirabella Senior, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to the Bristal staff for your support through this difficult time for our family. The entire staff has treated our family and friends with great compassion, going out of their way to serve our every need. In particular, my mother, Anne Mirabella, has been treated with care beyond the scope of required duties and for this we are extremely grateful.

We would also like to thank you for your attention and support for our gatherings at the Bristal, with special recognition to Christine and Susan as they worked with us to coordinate.

The staff's professionalism and respect in such an emotional time is greatly appreciated by our family; thanks are not enough.

Best,

Bill Mirabella and Family
