A manicure can be a small act of self-care. When it becomes the starting point for a conversation, a shared memory, or the discovery of a connection between people from different generations, it can become something much more meaningful.  That was the spirit of a recent visit from the GlamourGals Foundation to The Bristal at York Avenue, where college interns and high school volunteers spent time with residents for an afternoon of manicures, conversation, and companionship.

The Bristal All-Stars 2026 Senior Softball: A Love of the Game
This summer, The Bristal Assisted Living partnered once again with the New York Senior Softball Association (NYSSA) to host its annual The Bristal All-Stars Senior Softball Game, bringing more than 40 players, ages 80 and older, together for an afternoon of competition, camaraderie, and a shared love of the game.
