Yes! Residents are encouraged to personalize their apartments with their own furnishings, photographs, and cherished belongings to make it truly feel like home. However, if you prefer, we’re also happy to assist you in furnishing your new apartment.

The process for moving into assisted living typically starts with a tour, followed by an assessment of care needs, the completion of paperwork, and selecting an available suite for move-in. At The Bristal, we will guide you through this process at the pace that best suits your needs and are happy to answer any questions you may have along the way. Families receive regular updates through meetings, phone calls and/or emails. The Bristal also uses the innovative platform LifeLoop to share unique programming and engagement information, as well as photos of residents, with their family and friends. The frequency and method of communication is always tailored to your preference and the resident’s needs, and we are always available to answer questions or discuss anything further.

Absolutely! At The Bristal, couples may share an apartment together and receive individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each significant other are met.

No, Medicare does not cover the cost of assisted living, as it’s designed for short-term medical care rather than long-term residential support.
