White Plains Honors Our WII Veterans for VE-Day

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of VE-Day (May 8, 1945), which marked the end of the war in Europe, The Bristal at White Plains honored 13 of its residents who are veterans of the Second World War. The 13 veterans were recognized in a ceremony attended by Bristal residents and City and County officials. White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach presented a proclamation honoring the veterans. Ron Tocci, Director of the Westchester County Veteran Services Agency, presented each of the veterans with a Westchester County Certificate of Service as well as service medal.
