The craft group in Westbury came up with a great way to use an old or damaged book – make it into a pumpkin! They cut the ends of the book into an arc. When you open the pages and spread them, they create a round “pumpkin.” They glued twigs to the spines to create a stems, and stained the edges of the pages with tea bags as a neat effect. Residents topped off the pumpkins with a bow. We each took our own project home to decorate for the fall season.
