Here in Massapequa, we celebrated National Assisted Living Week with a full week of fun activities. The Bristal Helping Hands community volunteers held a bake sale, with a 50/50 raffle and prize baskets, with all proceeds being donated to further Alzheimer’s disease research. In our Reflections memory care area, we stretched out during a chair yoga class, and wore our wings for Alzheimer’s awareness on purple butterfly day. We all enjoyed a comedy show mid-week, and at the end of the week, we had a 50’s sock hop where the raffle winners were picked. It was a wonderful week celebrating our residents and showing the community our love and support.
