Westbury residents took a field trip recently to the North Shore Historical Museum in Glen Cove. Upon arrival, we learned that the museum is actually an old restored court house. Our original goal was to see the couture gowns salvaged from the Gold Coast mansions. The gowns were once worn by the Woolworths, the Tiffany family, Barbara Hutton and countesses. Our group also toured the courthouse and got to sit behind the bench right in the judges seat! We got to see an American flag that has only 46 stars. It was definitely an interesting afternoon and we got to see a lot more than we expected!
