Testimonial from The Bristal at Armonk Resident Council

Posted by: The Bristal

On behalf of the residents who attended, I commend and thank all of those who made “Passover with Rabbi Strom” a most meaningful and informative experience. Stephanie deserves the credit for arranging it, as per the Bristal way of honoring all religions.

The activities staff and the aides pitched in, helped where needed, and took everyone to where they wanted to be. Thank you and all the employees, who make living at The Bristal in Armonk such a pleasant experience each and every day.

Testimonial from The Bristal at Armonk Resident Council

Posted by: The Bristal

Please express our sincerest gratitude and deepest appreciation to your staff for the professionalism during the height of the snow storm.

They went about their usual business and took care of our needs in spite of being short staffed and working longer hours. We never heard them grumble or complain. They went about their work with diligence and in their usual caring manner.

We appreciate that many of them left their own homes and families behind in order to take care of their Bristal family.

Testimonial from Risa

I am writing to you to acknowledge the excellent Wellness Staff at the Bristal Westbury, where my mother, Rhoda Fruchter is a resident.

Colleen and her staff took excellent care of her. I met with Colleen several times during my mom’s recovery to discuss her progress and we altered her care level accordingly. Her staff provided everything that she needed and did so with kindness and patience. And, they continue to do so.

Thank you for providing such excellent staff!

Testimonial: I am a relative of a resident at North Hills

Posted by: The Bristal

When my cousin entered the Reflections unit over the summer, she had a rocky transition. Although she required some medication, it was more than balanced by extra care and structured days filled with people and activities. Betsy and her staff transformed her into her old, sociable, cheerful self in about 6 weeks. We were hoping for clean and safe, but we got more – we got happy. What we had not taken fully into account was the value of being in a world filled with people. Our cousin had become angry and bitter, as well as confused. She’s still confused, but she is happy. She is and was a people person. I would always be glad to chat with any one caring for a person with dementia and encourage them seriously to consider The Bristal at North Hills.

Testimonial: I visited this facility (5 / 5 Stars)

Posted by: The Bristal

The Bristal at Lake Grove was beautiful and brand new, and there was more to offer, but I couldn’t afford anything more than a studio there. I really wanted to have a one-bedroom apartment, but they were more expensive. The staff seemed very friendly and very helpful. The apartment was very nice. It had a kitchen area, but no stove. You’re not allowed to cook a meal, but they did have a sink, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The unit was bright and cheerful, and it was brand new, so there’s nothing really wrong with it yet, and I did like it. If I could’ve afforded it, I probably would have chosen that. They had a more diversified menu, more choices on the menu, and more activities available. They had an outdoor swimming pool and an in-house beauty parlor. They had a lot of common areas there. They even had a family room that you could reserve for the day and have your family come and spend the day with you. It had a kitchen, you could cook in there with your family, and you could have your own little private dining room.

Testimonial: I am a friend or relative of a resident at Woodcliff Lake

Posted by: The Bristal

Every day The Bristal has something like sing-alongs, arts and crafts, dance, and therapy. They have socials where it could be just a specific people together for ice cream social or they have a hot chocolate social. They have arts shows, and people come in to play the piano. It is a wonderful community. Every day there is something going on. They have movies at 2 and at 7 so it is wonderful. The place is spotless and beautiful. It is brand new — maybe about a year and a half or 2 years old. Everything is still brand new, but if something breaks down or something is not going right, the maintenance people are there right away. My mother has called a few times, and they’ve been so good and kind to her. They fix things right away. The staff is lovely. They are very helpful and very friendly. They know every one of the residents by name. They have a lot of help. Just recently when it snowed and the people slept over, they had accommodations for their staff. There are always people there to help, and that made me feel good. They serve three meals a day, and the three meals are like gourmet meals. They have like five choices all the time at lunch and dinner. They have salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, and hot dogs if you want to choose that. It is really lovely. My mother keeps saying that you couldn’t have picked a better place. It took her a month and a half to adjust, and she wasn’t that happy in the first month, but once she started making friends, it was OK.

Testimonial: Very nice place! (5 / 5 Stars)

Posted by: The Bristal

My loved one is doing very well here, we’re very pleased with how things are going at The Bristal! The entire experience has been very pleasant. The staff are wonderful, the facility is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here. Really my only complaint is that they have assigned seating in the dining room, which seems a little silly for adults, but I suppose they have their reasons.

Testimonial: Genuine Care, Great Help (5 / 5 Stars)

Posted by: The Bristal

They were always there to help out, answered all our questions, took us on multiple tours, and just showed endless patience. When some family members showed a little hesitancy, the entire staff chipped in to help out and they really went out of their way to make us all feel comfortable in our decision. It has been a very positive experience with The Bristal Assisted Living at Sayville and I would highly recommend them.
