New Assisted Living Suffolk County Community Planned
The Engel Burman Group recently acquired 5.89 acres of land on the north service road of the Long Island Expressway, near exit 63 in Holtsville. The developers, owners and managers of The Bristal Assisted Living plan to build a stunning new senior living community there, adding to the family of assisted living Suffolk County communities.
On February 4th, the Brookhaven Town Board voted to change the zoning of the land from ‘light industrial’ to ‘health facility’ by a unanimous vote of 7-0.
Though The Bristal Assisted Living has multiple senior living communities throughout Nassau County, Bergen County and Westchester County, there is currently only one operating assisted living Suffolk County community, The Bristal at East Northport. Two more communities are on the horizon. The Bristal at Sayville is currently under construction, with a scheduled opening date in the Spring of 2014. The Bristal at Lake Grove will soon follow.
The zoning change approval was the first step toward adding the fourth assisted living Suffolk County community to The Bristal family.
